I tested the best shotgun laser sights for Mossberg and other models, and found Nightstick the most reliable, accurate, and easiest to mount.

FYI, prices and ratings are accurate as of time of writing.
As you probably know, the Crimson Trace Lasersaddle used to be one of the most popular laser sights for the Mossberg Shockwave. Since it's been discontinued, I decided to test some other options. That’s how I came across this Nightstick laser. It fits my Mossberg as securely as the old Lasersaddle did.
Nightstick - Waterproof 1200 Forend Light for Mossberg Shockwave

Highlight: Easily installed, so no gunsmithing required.
A customer requested an installation and bore sight of a Nightstick laser sight for his Mossberg Shockwave. This does not need a gunsmith to install it; it just requires patience and simple tools. If reading the instructions (that's what I did) does not work for you, look on YouTube and follow along, and you will have a victory in about half an hour.
GREEN LASER:
The Nightstick offers forend lights with optional green lasers. The green laser is much easier to see in bright light, but is draws more battery power. So you can understand why this results is shorter runtime. The Nightstick is designed to be installed and left in place, and no gunsmithing is required.
BATTERIES:
The model I'm reviewing here uses two CR123A batteries, which are easily changeable. It makes the replacement process really convenient. There are several models for this laser light, so you should read the manual to see exactly where to access the batteries and how to install them.
FOREND:
Also, this is a forend replacement. What does it mean? As the name suggests, it is mounted to the action tube - the forend - and not the receiver saddle.
BORE SIGHTING:
I mentioned the customer wanted this bore sighted, so let's talk about bore-sighting. With the Nightstick it really is pretty straightforward. Remember - this is a forend laser. So all you do is mount it, stabilize your shotgun, and then simply use the adjustment screws for alignment. I believe that even inexperienced shooters can do it easily. All you need to do is follow the manual. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
THE DOT:
The dot the laser makes is what we call 'small' or 'fine'. If you're after quick target acquisition, I assume you might prefer a larger dot. The shotgun is not a precision gun, so a larger dot will definitely make finding the dot faster and easier, especially if you are up at night and do not have your glasses on your face yet.
ADD-ONS:
A great compliment to this style of sight is a weapon-mounted flashlight. Many gun folks will tell you to get a super bright flashlight, and for a good reason, you will want the whole room well-lit when searching for things that go bump in the night. A bright light can reflect off the walls and upset your night vision, especially as you approach the door jam. Ensure your flashlight off button is handy so you can turn the light off when close to the walls and door frames, and keep your vision as clear as possible.
ALL IN ALL:
This is a point-and-shoot option for taking care of nasty business between the flashlight and the laser. You can't find a better choice with the availability and different ammo options that a shotgun can use. Personally, I'm not too fond of the Shockwave approach. Still, I am old, like the full buttstock Mossberg 590, and the extended magazine tube is a comfort, like an old blanket that makes me feel warm at night.
